Obesity and Poverty : A New Public Health Challenge

This publication aims to provide an understanding of the new face of poverty in the Americas. It is an examination of the prevalence of overweight and obesity in Latin America and Caribbean countries which looks at the medium and long-term harmful consequences of these conditions and explores their implications for planning public health interventions.
