Among Venice's many attractions is one that from time to time is performed with Mother Nature as director and the entire city as its scene. The play is named Acqua Alta, an unusual high tide that reveals a three-dimensional Venice, with all her fragile strength, a city seeing herself mirrored on the water, among astonished and amused tourists and half-worried, half-resigned locals.
