Dell Parsons' life changes forever after his parents rob a bank and are arrested. With his parents in jail, Berner decides to run away from his home. A family friend helps Dell escape over the border to Canada in hopes that he'll be able to rebuild his life. In Canada, he is looked after by Arthur Remlinger where Dell begins to reconstruct his life.
