Asia and Europe : Beyond Competing Regionalism

The mid-1990's saw rising regionalism in both the O.E.C.D. and the non-O.E.C.D. area. This book looks at the impact of the phinominon of regionalism on trade and envestment relations between Europe and Asia. The concept of regionalism applied in each zone is anslysed and contrasted, the role of foreign direct investment in deepening regionalism is identified and the influence of Japan within East Asia is examined.
