From Algebraic Structures to Tensors

The first volume will first present the basic elements of linear algebra and multilinear algebra. The notions of matrix spaces and tensor spaces will be introduced. Different examples of tensors encountered in signal processing and data analysis will be provided. Special classes of matrices and tensors will be described. The main basic operations will then be detailed, both for the matrices and for the tensors, specifying the properties satisfied by these operations.
