Education : Out of the Box

Have you ever felt like school didnt apply to you? Were you ever uncomfortable going to school because it was a negative experience? Well, it may not have been your fault The hypothesis in Education: Out of the Box is based on 22 years of experience working with students that didnt feel they belonged in school. Those students are referred to as "at-risk." They are at-risk for dropping out, illegal drug use, gang activity and just feeling like a failure. The fact of the matter is, you may not have failed at school, it may have failed you After presenting my hypothesis, I am calling for a complete overhaul in what we consider important in educating our students. In doing so, we will solve two problems. I am confident we will cut way down on the at-risk population and the curriculum will apply to the life and future work of all students.
