The Philosophy of Love and Sex: From Desire to Devotion is a dynamic anthology that provides the reader with the necessary tools and challenges to form a sophisticated philosophy of their own. This anthology explores the interactions love and sexuality has with imagination, sexual fantasy, spiritual practices, awareness of mortality, ethics and social norms. It addresses a variety of concerns and preoccupations, from the nature of love to the current vampire craze, encouraging the reader to be both critical and open minded. At the end of each section the reader is given a number of engaging questions, inviting them to ponder themes further and render their own views. Marshall Osman is a professor of philosophy at the University of La Verne and at Cal Poly Pomona. He received his Ph.D. from the Claremont Graduate University. Andrew Bridges is a graduate of Claremont School of Theology (MA) and received his BA in philosophy from Cal Poly Pomona.
