The series of C.H.U.M.P. books was designed from the viewpoint of a sports psychologist to be used as a counseling tool to increase awareness in each player of his or her inner-conversations as he or she plays. Through the experiences of C.H.U.M.P., each player can learn to develop effective, solution-based strategies to defend his or her mind in real-time against mental attacks manifested by doubt or fear of failure.
