What does Ragdoll Chronicles mean, you ask? Growing up abused, the word ragdoll” has, sadly, much symbolic meaning for me, i.e., lifeless as a ragdoll,” beaten like a ragdoll,” etc. So Ragdoll, for an abused child, has a myriad of connotations. Now I am a grown woman and I feel that I am a survivor, no longer a victim. But that ragdoll-child still lives within me, lying dormant in frozen pain. This book will be a first for me containing short stories, lyrics, scattered with some poetry. Though first and foremost I am and always will be a poet, I have actually been writing short stories for as long as I have been writing poetry (since the age of nine); it’s just that poetry is my forte and I’m most in my element there. But for my readers, I thought I would branch out here and give you a taste of other genres that I dabble into. Enjoy the journey through some fiction and non-fiction, poetry, and a few songs inspired by the late, great John Lennon.
