Rivers under Water

Magic and reality co-exist in Rivers Under Water. The novel is split into three chapters where a slave falls in love with her master, a witch uses her sexuality to unite a township, and a daughter does the unthinkable to stop a generational curse. Each tale conveys the undercurrent of sorrow, tenacity and aspiration that permeates the African American experience.
