The author, Jane Watkins, acquired recipes from the island and celebrity chefs who participate in the St. Croix Food & Wine Experience, a fundraising week of events that support non-profits on the island. The book features more than 70 recipes, chef profiles, historical and cultural information on the island, and a guide to enjoying wine in the tropics. Recipes are from celebrity chefs including Govind Armstrong, Anita Lo, Tim Love, Kevin Rathbun, Ana Sortun, Roberto Treviño, and more than a dozen talented island chefs.
