Proceedings of the 23rd International Conference on Coastal Engineering, held in Venice, Italy, October 4-9, 1992. This collection contains more than 260 papers presenting ea broad range of information on coastal engineering. With the inclusion of both theoretical and practical information, papers focus on seven areas: characteristics of coastal waves and currents; long waves and storm surges; coastal structures; the Italian coast; coastal processes and sediment transport; coastal, estuarine and environmental problems; and case studies. Papers cover such topics as the effects of wind, waves, storms and currents as well as the study of sedimentation and beach nourishment. Special emphasis is given to case studies of completed engineering projects.
