Estuarine and Coastal Modeling

Proceedings of the Estuarine and Coastal Circulation and Pollution Transport Model Data Comparison Specialty Conference, held in Newport, Rhode Island, November 15-17, 1989. Sponsored by the Coastal Zone Management Committee of the Waterway, Port, Coastal and Ocean Division of ASCE. This collection contains 52 papers devoted to the rapidly evolving field of marine environmental modeling, focusing on the comparison of model predictions to observations of circulation and pollutant transport dynamics in estuarine and coastal systems. These papers cover a wide spectrum from model formulation and development through application to facility siting and environmental management of estuarine and coastal waters. The authors represent a well balanced mix of professionals from academic institutions, government and private industry.
