Proceedings of the 24th International Conference on Coastal Engineering, held in Kobe, Japan, October 23-28, 1994. This collection contains more than 200 papers presenting a broad range of information on coastal engineering. With the inclusion of both theoretical and practical information, these papers focus on six areas: characteristics of coastal waves and currents; long waves and storm surges; coastal structures; coastal processes and sediment transport; coastal, estuarine and environmental problems; and case studies. Papers cover such topics as the effects of wind, waves, storms and currents as well as the study of sedimentation and beach nourishment. Special emphasis is given to case studies of completed engineering projects.
