Microsoft has made significant changes to the MCSA and MCSE programs in an effort to better differentiate between skills needed by mid-level administrators and higher-level designers. The new MCSE program for Windows 2003 still requires candidates to pass seven exams, but there are now six core exams - one client, four networking and one design - and one elective.
