Death of a Stranger

Policeman Tim Le Page and his new wife, Anna Weston, a junior partner in an Island veterinary practice, are both looking forward to the 'happily ever after' that's supposed to come with getting married. But even before they manage to escape on honeymoon to Scotland, Tim becomes involved in an attempted murder where his interest is more than official. Setting out to track down the would-be assassin of his beloved though flighty mother, suspects aren't hard to find. Tim even has his suspicions about the young man, Simon Shaw, who escorted his mother to the wedding. Glamorous though she has always been, surely he is too young even for her? Tim and Anna's brave new world is shaken as the past comes back to cause fresh pain -- and even murder -- before the mystery is solved.
