George Benjamin

Whilst still in his teens, George Benjamin was hailed as the greatest new talent in British music since Britten, and became the youngest composer ever to have a piece performed at the Proms. He has since matured into one of the country's major musical figures. He has always been a strong advocate of modern music, stressing the importance of the aural imagination over the attractions of systems.
