Goodnight Bubbala

In the small blue room there was a bubbala, and a little shmatta, and then, oy vey!, came--the whole mishpakcha! This lively parody of one of America's favorite bedtime books imagines how Margaret Wise Brown's story might unfold if the little one were a Jewish bunny with his bubbies and zeydes saying goodnight. In Goodnight Bubbala, that bedtime routine includes slurping matzoh ball soup, and dancing the hora with all the family members, and--because it's Hanukkah--playing a few rounds of dreidel as well. It's a joyous, endearing celebration of the Yiddish language and the Jewish American experience, particularly during the festival of lights.
